wait omg claire thanks for writing this. this is so late LOL but i felt/feel the same way in so many places and i wish it was talked about more

> I’ve felt that I can do great things, that I am meant to do so—in fact, it is almost a moral negative if I do not.

aaaaaa the pressure is real. this guilt can be so debilitating

> you can see yourself as a person first and a founder second

<3

> they choose to altogether avoid new contexts because they’ll likely start from the “bottom of the ladder.”

i started doing art recently and this is so real (being bad is uncomfortable!) tho im starting to accept this and being bad can also be freeing. but. it's hard lol

being bad SUCKS but I think it is the ultimate thing to be!! coming to MIT, for example, has shown me I'm basically bad at *everything* and that realization changes your mindset so so much, in ways that I think are ulitmately pretty good for me :).

I’m so happy to see you here, it really brought a smile to my face. Yea, I felt the need to publish their approaches because to my knowledge they haven’t been publicly documented. Also, just finished reading this post, and I can relate. Appreciate your reflections here. I’ll start checking out the others

thank you for sharing! have certainly grappled with similar thoughts throughout my college journey — I think I was able to synthesize them more clearly once I gained a better grasp of what kind of work I find fulfilling, and what I want my day-to-day to look like.
